Currency Symbol is an optional element. It is used to display the currency symbol of the selected currency market.

It is highly recommended to use currency symbol element on your site if you have muplitple markets in Shopify markets with diffrent currency symbols.

To conert any currency text element to a dynamic currency symbol element, you need to add the following attribute to the element:
